With personal experience managing ADHD and dyspraxia, I've been motivated to delve deeply into this field. Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD): a developmental disorder characterized by differences in social interaction, communication, and behavior. Individuals with ASD may have a wide range of abilities and challenges, from difficulties in social communication to exceptional skills in areas such as pattern recognition or attention to detail.
Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD): a neurodevelopmental disorder characterized by symptoms such as inattention, hyperactivity, and impulsivity. While individuals with ADHD may struggle with focus and organization, they may also possess boundless energy, creativity, and enthusiasm.
Dyslexia: a learning disorder that affects reading fluency and comprehension. Despite difficulties with reading and spelling, individuals with dyslexia may demonstrate strengths in areas such as problem-solving, creativity, and spatial reasoning.
Dyspraxia (Developmental Coordination Disorder): a neurological disorder that affects motor coordination and planning. While individuals with dyspraxia may face challenges with tasks such as handwriting or tying shoelaces, they may also excel in areas such as creativity, problem-solving, or verbal expression.
Tourette Syndrome: a neurological disorder characterized by involuntary motor and vocal tics. Individuals with Tourette syndrome may navigate a diverse range of experiences depending on the severity of their symptoms and the degree to which they impact their daily lives.

Nutrition plays a fundamental role in brain development, function, and resilience, influencing cognitive processes, mood regulation, and overall well-being. For neurodiverse individuals, variations in brain structure and function may give rise to unique nutritional requirements and metabolic pathways. Omega-3 Fatty Acids: Omega-3 fatty acids are essential for brain health and can be found in fatty fish, flaxseeds, and walnuts. They play a crucial role in neural development, neurotransmitter function, and cognitive performance. There is increasing evidence that omega-3 supplementation may benefit individuals with conditions such as ADHD, autism, and dyslexia by supporting attention, mood regulation, and executive function.

A lack of essential nutrients can harm brain health and cause cognitive dysfunction. Deficiencies in nutrients such as omega-3 fatty acids, B vitamins, vitamin D, antioxidants, and minerals like iron and zinc have been linked to impaired cognitive function, mood disorders, and an increased risk of neurodegenerative diseases.
Executive functioning skills are a set of cognitive processes that enable us to plan, organize, prioritize, focus attention, regulate emotions, and solve problems effectively. These skills are vital for goal-directed behavior, decision-making, and adaptive functioning in daily life.
